The realities of pastoral ministry (that I have observed) leaves little time for extended scholarly attention. But having come from a scholastic theological institution I can see what huge benefit extended study could be for pastoral ministers.

Desiring God (John Pipers Outfit) were involved in a conference/conversation where DA Carson and John Piper had a think about that particular subject, and a conversation ensued. I haven’t listened to the majority of the resources here, and these guys may be on the conservative side of things for many, but I think its good that a conversation about a meaningful connection between these two complementary disciplines takes place somewhere.
