Possesed by posessions we have no idea what we ask When we pray to you; To free us from all that prevents us From praying to you as beggars. We work hard and believe we deserve what we make.

Of course, the more we make and get what we deserve through our making, the more lonely we become. Money is the way I can say “I don’t need anyone but myself” So we learn to call our lonliness freedom. God knows I’m more than willing to give to the deserving poor, but you surely do not mean to ask us, your good and decent people to become poor? I’m not clever or smart enough to survive in a world of money without money, so make me, make us, capable of recieving gifts without regrets. I need to warn you Jesus, to give me a soul capable of begging is not going to be easy, Amen.
