A little over two months have gone by since I first stepped off the plane – on what seemed to be Mars judging by all the volcanic rock formations – and was picked up at the airport by a close, life long friend, Jake Mason. I’ll spare you the details about the awkward meeting/moments with roommates, avoiding certain meats at lunch, finding out my leader had been to prison (don’t worry, he has totally been redeemed), and realizing that you can literally do everything in Hawaii in a matter of 3 days, but it’s enough to say that it’s been an incredible adventure.
